The Contented Hen is a weekly newsletter for those who love anything having to do with chickens. Pillows, paintings, pins: Anything with a chicken motif is fair game.

I'm a life-long fan of chickens. It began with a flock of birds that I kept as a child. Naming them, taking them for walks or teaching them tricks: I treated these birds as pets, not livestock.

I'm now a city dweller, which keeps me from having birds of my own. But anything with chicken on it still catches my eye. My home is filled with chicken items and I could fill several more homes if left to my own devices. I know I'm not alone in my passion for chickens, so thank you for taking the time to visit.
